Unearth is an indie horror film that deals with enviromental horror, specifically by putting a unique twist on fracking. The fracking caused a violent spore to be released into the water stream and cause people to deteriorate and grow cordicepts from within their bodies. It was a unique and fun project that we at Tolin FX took head on. We created multiple miniature models of the different stages of the fracking process including a 3D printed fracking drill. I had the pleasure of sculpting all of the prosthetic appliances and cordicepts that grow out of everyone. We also had made a translucent gelatin disintegrating baby, and I had the pleasure of doing a likeness sculpt of the wonderful Adrienne Barbeau for her dummy body do to not being able to do a lifecast.
