Tolin FX did a lot of stuff for the Ark Encounter in Louisville, Kentucky. My involvement was some sculptures. There were two baby hippos and 2 Dimetrodons that I was lead sculptor on. We were provided foam forms to start with and then we had to sculpt the skin and all of its details. The hippos were sculpted in Apoxie Sculpt, carved into their respective shapes and then painted. The Dimetrodon was sculpted in Chavant NSP Medium, then it was molded and casted twice, but painted by the crew on location.
